Stefano Caranti was born in Imola (BO) in 1965, lives in Santa Maria Maddalena (RO).Poet, video poet, videomaker, writer and director.During his adolescence he discovered the power and charm of poetry.In 2008 presented his first work "Seekers of dawns, shadows and light" and in 2018 he created the collection (Poems and Videopoems) "The guardians of the dawn", introducing an innovative format. Some of his author Videopoems were selected and presented at the modern and contemporary art exhibition, obtained awards in the Campidoglio and screened in the cinema, chosen by a record company in Rome, broadcast in podcasts, made in the radio version, viewable on web-radio stations and on national television channels. He has received numerous awards and is often called to act as a juror in national and international poetry competitions. His compositions have been included and reviewed in various national and international anthologies and magazines, some translated into Greek, Spanish and Serbian.Since 2017 he is part of the technical-organizational committee of the international project "A rose for Anita", creating the official video poem work n.23 "Anita is your name" translated into 4 languages ​​(English, French, Portuguese and Spanish) from a text by the poet Maria Gabriella Conti. From 2019 he was appointed national secretary for Italy of the artistic-poetic movement "Poetas del Mundo" and coordinated the project for the realization of the Italian National Anthem "Poets of the World". In January 2020 he became Co- Founder of WikiPoesia. In July 2021 he became Co-Founder of the Videopoetic Artistic Movement. CULTURAL COMMITMENTS: Since 2017 he has been part of the technical-organizational committee of the international project "A rose for Anita" coordinated by Dr. Andrea Antonioli, with dissemination and enhancement in Italy and in the world the values ​​and image of the heroine of 2 worlds Anita Garibaldi. The tool to implement this poetics is a very particular and suggestive rose hybrid, chosen as a symbol to spread the values ​​and virtues everywhere of Anita, reflecting her emancipation, moral integrity, purity of soul, respect for others and sense of duty, as well as love for the homeland, for peoples and for the oppressed. "Anita Garibaldi" has already been planted in various parts of the world and in Italy. In 2020 she received the honor from the University of Salamanca - Spain. Since 2020 she has been the National Secretary for Italy of the Poetas del Mundo, and created the Italian site www.poetasdelmundo.it In lower secondary schools he created various intermediate projects presenting "Video poems on tour" to bring children closer to the artistic/poetic world with a more engaging communication, music, images and words come together, a bridge between classic and modern where tradition and technology come together in an extraordinary experience that appeals and excites all age groups.
